John S. Rotz discovered his passion for pharmacy while working as a delivery boy for his father at Boyd’s Drug Store. By 1976, he had purchased Barry’s Drug Store, laying the foundation for what would become a cornerstone of Winchester health.

Under John’s leadership, the pharmacy expanded from W. Boscawen Street to Medical Circle, finally arriving at our state-of-the-art home at 1338 Amherst Street in 2004. Today, we stand as a family legacy, with John’s son Jason managing operations and the entire Rotz family dedicated to your wellness.

Custom Compounding

One size doesn't fit all. Our specialty lab creates custom dosage forms, flavors, and allergen-free medications for humans and pets.

Tailored to Your Needs

Rotz Pharmacy is willing to compound your medication if it is not available as a standard prescription product. We will work with your physician to come up with a way to meet your exact medication needs. We will attempt to bill your prescription plan, as these prescriptions can often be more expensive.

Veterinary Care

Do you have a family pet? Have you ever needed a medication for them and did not know where to get it? We may be able to compound the prescription for you! Ask your veterinarian to call us to find out if we can make the medication for you.

Custom Flavoring

Sometimes liquid medication can taste really bad. It can be difficult to get a small child or animal to take these medications. We are here to help! Surely your daughter would prefer "bubblegum" to a "medicine taste" and your cat would welcome the "taste of tuna"!

We create personalized medications in specific flavors and forms. If a standard pill doesn't work, we work with your doctor to build a custom formula specifically for you or your pet.

Simply bring us your current bottles or Rx numbers. Our team handles all the communication and coordination with your previous provider.

We offer free delivery for prescription medications to homes and businesses within the Winchester city limits. Our delivery service runs Monday through Friday starting at 3:00pm. Just call us to get set up!

We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare Part D. Because your insurance determines your copay, you will likely pay the exact same price here as you would at a big chain, but with much better service.
